The tension control stress of the prestressed tendons must meet the design regulations.
1) Basic regulations for prestressed construction
1. The tension control stress of the prestressed tendons must meet the design regulations.
2. When the prestressed tendons are stretched by the stress control method, they should be checked with the elongation value. The difference between the actual elongation value and the theoretical elongation value should meet the design requirements; if the design is not specified, the difference between the actual elongation value and the theoretical elongation value should be controlled within 6%. Otherwise, the tensioning should be suspended, and the tensioning can only be continued after the cause is found out and measures are taken.
3. When the pre-stress is stretched, it should be adjusted to the initial stress (σo). The initial stress should be 10% to 15% of the tensile control stress (σcon). The elongation value should be measured from the initial stress.
4. The anchoring of the pre-stressed tendons should be carried out under a stable state of tension control stress, and the inward shrinkage of the pre-stressed tendons at the tensioned end of the anchoring stage shall not be greater than the design or specifications.
2) Pre-tensioned pre-stressed construction
The pre-tensioning method is to stretch the pre-stressed tendons before pouring the concrete, and temporarily anchor the tensioned pre-stressed tendons on the pedestal or steel mold, and then pour the concrete, and wait until the concrete is cured to reach not less than 75% of the concrete design strength value. When it is ensured that the prestressed tendons are sufficiently bonded to the concrete, the prestressed tendons are relaxed, and the construction process of applying prestress to the concrete with the aid of the bonding of the concrete and the prestressed tendons. The pre-tensioning method is generally only suitable for the production of small and medium-sized components, which are produced in a fixed prefabricated factory or construction site.
3) Post-tensioned pre-stressed construction
It refers to the construction process of pre-setting the pre-stressed reinforcement channel before pouring the beam and slab concrete, pouring the concrete, and after the strength meets the requirements, penetrating the pre-stressing bar, and stretching in the required order. It is often used in prestressed concrete structures with large spans.
